Unfortunately it looks like they did it with the session management
code in libgnome, which it scheduled for eventual removal afaik.
The patch simply dlopen libgnome and uses the GnomeClient API to make it
session aware. It only works with GNOME libgnome-2.0. I guess a similar
approach
could be use when the GTK+ based session management is ready.

Can
anyone take a look at the patch they committed and see if there's a
way to convert it to use the gtk-based stuff I keep hearing about?
