gnome-keyring 2.22 will include:
* A proper SSH agent integrated with the user's login keyring
* An X.509 key and certificate store than applications can
use and share, and integrated with the user's login.
I wanted to announce this well in advance of the release so that anyone
who wants to coordinate features, or give advice, suggestions can do so.
SSH Agent:
http://live.gnome.org/GnomeKeyring/Ssh
Certificate and Key Store:
http://live.gnome.org/GnomeKeyring/CertificatesKeys
http://live.gnome.org/GnomeKeyring/ApplicationSetup
PKCS#11 Implementation Notes:
http://live.gnome.org/GnomeKeyring/Cryptoki
A configuration UI for SSH keys already exists (in Seahorse).
The UI for the X.509 key and certificate store will probably not be
complete for GNOME 2.22. The configuration currently involves placing
keys and/or certificates in specific directories (such as
~/.gnome2/keystore).
The integration with the user's login session works and is complete.
Any and all comments, help or criticism welcome.
Cheers,
Stef Walter
