Ew, why not just normalise the table structure a bit more?
Putting a delimiting scheme inside an RDBMS seems a bit odd...
yes I am thinking along those lines wrt to adding a stringlist metadata
type such that it uses an extra table to get at the individual items in
the stringlist or to search them. (this is okay as we have seperate
tables for string and numeric datatypes so it wont complicate the code
too much)
Api wise, I am also thinking of doing what GKeyFile does and have
specific metadata api to handle lists in an easy fashion too.
