This is interesting. So you are suggesting a sort of menu, perhaps 
similar to NetworkManagers that simply drops down a list of combined 
progress bars?

That would be a very cool feature, though it would require GTK (or 
something) to have a common interface for percentage setting and 
communicating it over dbus.

Anyone else think this would be an interesting approach?
