It does seem a bit weird showing notifications for the trash.  The only
cases where notifications will be produced will be directly caused by
user actions:

    * user drags files to the trash icon on desktop or panel
    * user chooses to empty the trash.
    * user plugs or unplugs a volume which contains trashed files.

Notifications in these cases seem unneeded.
