hopefully you're refering to gtk-perl and not gtk2-perl. gtk-perl has suffered
bit-rot, there's no one maintaining it and i hope no one developing code with
it. gtk2-perl should go on most anywhere pretty cleanly.

if you've had problems with gtk2-perl then i suggest you let us know otherwise
we can't really address them.
