Nor me, but it seems horribly buggy in 2.6

I did

mknod /tmp/.hidden p

then nautilus browsed /tmp

I've not looked at the code to see if we also do ownership checks, and
link checks (ln -s /dev/mem /tmp/.hidden) etc
