Speaking of bugzilla, I just tried the free trial of FogBUGZ on

Bugzilla with interaction design! Woohoo!

Anyway, one of the things it does to be more manageable than bugzilla is
put a serious lid on the number of fields in the tracker.

Probably the two hugest productivity wins over bugzilla are:
 - queries and page loads are fast
 - multiple bug lists at a time
but it has a lot of nice features.
