The translator can always change it around if need be. The biggest
problem is the number of variants of "Unable to open file". If there
was a library helper for "open file, and whine if it fails" then
not only could the translators get a rest, the code could be a lot
smarter about error reporting, offer dialogs to select an alternate
paths, spot NFS timeouts etc and generally do the job right *once*
