For what it's worth, I think the technical solution is keep the
misspelled function, but to make gnome_keyring_is_available a small
wrapper around gnome_keyring_is_availible.  Then change the docs to
never refer to the misspelled version.  Then your new release doesn't
break compatibility, and in some future release you can drop it.
