Remove the word "gamma" anywhere from the applet, call it "Colour
correction", and then the user just has some visual sliders to scroll.

Start doing anything artistic and you'll be screaming for colour
management tools...

IMHO, a11y/colour blindness isn't really effected by the gamma level --
the change is generally subtle and these users will probably be using
the high contrast themes.
