Hey,
One more thing - I'm sure people will wonder what effect this change
has on them if they were already running GConf with the patch.
Basically, there'll be no visible impact, but GConf will continue using
the %gconf-tree.xml files so if you switch back to GNOME 2.4 or earlier,
the configuration changes you made since using the patched version won't
be seen.
If someone was interested, it should be trivial to modify
gconf-merge-tree to allow "unmerging" - e.g. remove the %gconf-tree.xml
files, set save_as_subtree to FALSE on all the dirs and sync.
