| Maybe I'm misunderstanding, but isn't that what the Keyboard Layout
| Switcher applet (gkb) does? It's always been part of GNOME 2.x.
Where I can find that Keyboard Layout Switcher ?
I am quite confident that I have checked GNOME Control Center, and couldn't
find something like this.
