Good morning boys and girls...
IT'S THAT TIME AGAIN!
When all the tarballs come out to WREAK HAVOC (proper havoc, not that
strange Georgian substitute kind) on testers and bugsquads everywhere,
with nothing in their path but the CRUEL and OCCASIONALLY UNRELIABLE
global ftp server syncing process. And maybe the excruciatingly slow
make distcheck process. Oh, and writing nice NEWS files that everyone
likes to read to see how cool 2.4 will be. Actually, writing release
announcements is kind of in the way too. And then gnome-announce-list
moderation. Hmm.
Well fine, so the cards aren't stacked in our favour, and the challenges
are EXTREME, but that's never stopped is before! OH NO IT HASN'T STOPPED
US BEFORE! BE FREE LITTLE TARBALLS, BE FREEEEEEE!
Tarballs are due by Wednesday this week, for (almost) immediate release to
the TEEMING MASSES of dedicated GNOME testers. (Oh, and Gentoo/Slackware/LFS
users who just have to have the latest version of everything even if it has
those bright yellow and black radioactive stickers all over it. IF IT'S NEW,
IT MUST BE GOOD.)
Those details again:
TARBALLS DUE: Wednesday, 16 July for (almost) immediate release
Thanks, and BOOYAKASHA!
