Metacity and ATK (call for assistance)

Metacity does not currently do anything special for ATK; the result is
that on Alt-tab, keyboard workspace switch, using Alt-space to bring up
the window menu, and probably other places no speech is possible with
screen readers.

It would be nice to fix this bug for Gnome 2.4, but nobody working on
metacity has any clue as to what we need to do to fix this.  If someone
involved with assistance technologies in Gnome could point me to the
appropriate API references and explain what's required (and in
particular why the Alt-space menu doesn't work; it's just a regular old
gtk menu) I'd like to implement this support for metacity.
