greets!
eschewing xdm/gdm/kdm, i'd like to be able to switch among various
desktops from a console (not a console emulator, pure command prompt,
no x running until the desktop is chosen).
is there a gnome shell script that does this, which is to say starts x
with gnome?
thanks.

the envelope, and no animated paperclip anywhere.
