Ok i got some ideas:
locale -a says that sv_SE and sv_SE.utf8 is ok
so i changed LANG to sv_SE.utf8 and lo and behold the sawfish menu
works sort of - readable menu but empty entries in the grouping meny
(the gnome-panel entries)
other improvements : gnumeric2 was suddenly usable for me
(no more gobbledygok insted of a-ring and so on)
now i got other probs :
Xlib bitches about bad locale
hmm no sv_SE.utf8 in X11/lib/locale/*
bad, bad ok i'm pulling down xfree86-4.2 rpms now
(i have a selfcompiled xf86 4.0.3-5 version)
Can i install only the xlib and font rpms without breaking the rest ?
