Lots of people are asking for the 1.x style concatenated applet/panel menus,
which would solve this rather kludgy fix in - perhaps - a better way.
Trouble is that it's confusing to have them, even when there's a separator.
Maybe a submenu? This will also help with some panel setups, when there's no
room to right click on the panel itself.
