Yeah, gnomedesktop is a great site and IMHO should be directly linked
in a prominent way from gnome.org.

I vaguely remember suggesting that a forum be added and the interface
be cleaned up a but.

Who runs gnomedesktop.org? If whoever it is is interested in adding a forum
I could help out. I think a poll is in order :)

I know my way around *Nuke - got my own on evolvedoo.sf.net - I think that 
gnomedesktop.org has huge potential to be more that a new site. Wouldn't a 
wiki be really handy for an FAQ? And a forum for newbies, and it's really 
easy to stick a screenshots gallery into a *NUKE, and mailing lists etc...
