then no one would even blink.
Python has been parallel installable since forever (pretty much :). The
headers and data files are all installed in a version dependent
directory (python1.5, python2.1, etc). The main binary is installed
under two names: pythonX.Y and python (which is a link to the other
name). This python executable is the only conflict between versions --
if there are multiple versions available, the sysadmin would choose
which version "python" was linked to.
Libglade will check a number of names to try and find a usable python
(including "python2", which the RH python 2.1.1 RPMs use), so it will
handle picking the right version from parallel installations (you don't
need to remove 1.5.2).
