Thanks, yes that was definatly my bad.
However from a users perspective i must add that it seems weird that gtk-doc's
doesnt give any errors about missing tools @ configure time, or duing the
processing which were clear enough for me to pick up on it ;-)

You don't have the tools for generating documentation installed on your
system. I suggest that you remove the gtk-doc package, or read its
README file and install the necessary packages.
