gnome config path

I recently compiled the beta using GARNOME.  I'm getting these sorts of
warnings in all manner of apps:

gedit2 (pid:23618): Gnome-WARNING **: invalid gnome config path
'=/section/key'

e.g.  

When I remove an applet from the panel it spits out a similar warning
about the gnome config path, and then segfaults.  Is this a problem with
my particular setup?

What greater thing is there for two human souls than to feel that
they are joined together to strengthen each other in all labour, to
