That error looks like you have old gdk-pixbuf headers.

You should have:
 /usr/include/gdk-pixbuf-1.0/gdk-pixbuf/gdk-pixbuf.h 
 /usr/include/gtk-2.0/gdk-pixbuf/gdk-pixbuf.h

But not:
 /usr/include/gdk-pixbuf/gdk-pixbuf.h

If you have this last one, you need to upgrade your gdk-pixbuf if
using packages, or delete the old header if you installed from
tarballs.

A similar point applies to several other libs, such as libxml.
