GNOME 2.2 - where we stand

Hey there,

Okay, so this is just a gentle little release-team reminder of where we
stand in terms of GNOME 2.2, so that no one forgets the various freezes
that are currently in place.

We're really going to have to start being anal about things now. Please
no new features, no UI changes unless you have had explicit permission
from the release team, or one of the bugs you are fixing has been marked
with the 'ui-review' keyword.

If you wish to break one of these freezes, you MUST email
release-team gnome org and get at least TWO approvals from the team.
When we get to the UI/STRING HARD FREEZE, you MUST email
release-team gnome org AND gnome-i18n gnome org for approval.

Although this sounds like a completely militarian email, I'm hoping that
people will take it in the nicest way. I'm really excited about the work
that we've put into GNOME 2.2 so far [1] and to meet the schedule that
we've aimed at, we really need to start enforcing the freezes.

All the cool kids bug want bug fixes for Christmas,

				see ya,
