Diffs are automatically generated on the GNOME ftp server whenever
people specify the version to make a diff from.  Hopefully maintainers
simply don't know about, or have forgotten how to use the script on the
GNOME ftp machine to make diffs of their packages.  Any of the sysadmin
folks can explain how to use the script, or maintainers can take a peek
at the only mildly intimidating shell script in
/usr/local/bin/install-module.
