I mentioned a few concerns I have about this in a previous email; if you
have good answers for these concerns I will be more ammenable to
implementing instant apply.

That's fine.

No objections, but please try to work within the code I have written as
opposed to writing something completely new, unless there is a very good
reason for doing so. If you have any questions pertaining to that code,
feel free to ask.
