The problem is ltihooks together with python 2.6. The (undocumented) API
changed in python 2.6. I'm not aware of a fix for this problem.
Therefore, you can't use deskbar uninstalled with python 2.6.

You have to talk to the debian/ubuntu packager about this, I didn't
package deskbar.
