In the terminal, can you run any or all of the following and report the output?

which deja-dup
snap info deja-dup 
apt policy deja-dup 

Or you could retry installing the snap using:

snap install deja-dup --classic

I am running Ubuntu Studio 19.10.  Have tried to install Deja Dup using a script in terminal mode, and thought it succeeded.  But it didn't show up in the snap folder, or in the standard list of programs.  A "Catfish" search didn't find it either, so I can't figure where it might be hiding.

Any suggestions you might have will be greatly appreciated.
