I would like to request:

Better integration with journald, start, finish and success/fail information should be logged by default or just provide a log file in var...

Please can you improve the schedule options in settings, timeshift has a great schedule settings section, where the user can set a retention policy for days and weeks. 6 months as a minimum is excessive when most users will probably want to keep a backup for a day, a week and overwrite them the following day or week.
