Just trying to figure out why my backups are so huge and I've come across some rather large beagle log files: -rw-r--r-- 1 brian brian 526158102 2007-01-09 02:32 2007-01-08-17-46-35-BeagleExceptions -rw-r--r-- 1 brian brian 561959889 2007-01-09 02:32 2007-01-08-17-46-35-Beagle -rw-r--r-- 1 brian brian 28132099 2007-01-08 02:12 2007-01-07-23-42-14-Beagle -rw-r--r-- 1 brian brian 13601710 2007-01-08 02:14 2007-01-07-23-44-11-IndexHelper -rw-r--r-- 1 brian brian 1155383768 2007-01-07 23:36 2007-01-06-09-48-09-Beagle -rw-r--r-- 1 brian brian 389981244 2007-01-07 23:36 2007-01-06-09-50-33-IndexHelper These are little over the top, no? My current log seems to be written to constantly with DEBUG entries, yet I don't believe I have beagle running with debug mode enabled. brian pc:~$ ps -ef wwwww | grep beagle brian 15837 1 1 09:13 ? Sl 0:03 beagle-search --debug /usr/lib/beagle/Search.exe --icon brian 15842 1 3 09:13 ? Sl 0:09 beagled /usr/lib/beagle/BeagleDaemon.exe --bg brian 15911 1 5 09:14 ? SNl 0:09 beagled-helper /usr/lib/beagle/IndexHelper.exe This is on Ubuntu Feisty so I'd expect that it has the latest installed, which FWIU includes the recent changes in distribution to disable debug by default. Thots? b. -- My other computer is your Microsoft Windows server. Brian J. Murrell
