Checking the Search menu in the beagle-search gui, I noticed the following
entries:

        Everywhere
        Applications
        Contacts
        Documents
        Conversations
        Images
        Media

Shouldn't there be an entry on the menu for website (or web page)? I honestly
don't remember if 0.2.3 had something like this. I'm probably wrong but
thought I should point it out. Even if it never had such an entry, perhaps it
should??

I don't remember whether a Web category was there before, but I just ran beagle-query looking for various sites I've been to today and it returns nothing. So it's not a failure to display items that are found, it's a failure to index or a failure to find in the index.

So here's a session:

beagle-info --index-info
Index information:
Name: IndexingService
Count: 372
Indexing: True

That warning about a bad URI is due to accidentally pasting a non-URL into firefox. I deleted the file in ToIndex and tried again with no difference in results.

Hope this helps.
