Could anyone tell me what the status of dashboard is?

I've been keeping half an eye on this list since I first heard about 
Dashboard, but Dashboard seems to have been somewhat shelved.

I'm presuming that Beagle is now the focus because:

a) it needs to be ready before Dashboard can really work, now that 
Dashboard is based on Beagle,

and,

b) because there's such a big focus on desktop search at the moment.

I'd really appreciate a brief summary of what the plan is :)
