That's what I figured.

Well, if a packet has W wildcard clues, and a backend has T types it's
interested in, then that's T^W packets for that backend, isn't it? Which
could get pretty big.

But for now I would imagine this should be OK, given that the gui only
generates packets with a single wildcard clue.
