<title>UDisks</title>

<p><sys>UDisks</sys> is a desktop framework which provides storage related
services. These are: enumeration, partition, monitoring, configuration of
storage devices, and mounting of filesystems.</p>

  <p>The <sys>UDisks</sys> project consists of a daemon, <sys>udisksd</sys>,
  and a command-line tool, <sys>udisksctl</sys>. The <sys>udisksd</sys> deamon
implements well-defined D-Bus (Desktop Bus) interfaces that can be used to
query and manipulate storage devices. The <sys>udisksctl</sys> command-line
tool can be used to query storage devices and to operate the
  <sys>udisksd</sys> daemon.</p>
