[gjs/gnome-3-8] object: run toggle notifies directly, when possible

commit 1fd25f05b91b0d347b9289a07140592d24ca5013
Author: Ray Strode <rstrode redhat com>

object: run toggle notifies directly, when possible

There are a number of cases where toggle notifies run that we can
get away with handling them directly.

This commit does that, to minimize the number of idle functions
    getting queued.
