up to date learning resources

I'm trying to learn vala and clutter. Where is the best place to find up to date examples and documentation?

I found one example with this comment:
    // note: the Clutter.Texture API is deprecrated, but the API that
    // replaced it is very cumbersome, so we just stick with
    // Clutter.Texture

But I don't know what the new API is.
