Last Ubuntu Linux comes with a really updated Mono installation, but
has problems with the serial port. Tried to remove brltty and
brltty-x11 as seen here:

but with no result. removed all mono: "sudo apt-get remove mono-jit"
and installed the Linux installer version from mono-project site
(1.2.3.1_2), and worked!

La última versión de Ubuntu Linux viene con una instalación de Mono
muy actualizada, pero tiene problemas con la detección del puerto
serie. Si se intenta borrar los programas brltty and brltty-x11 tal y
como se indica aquí:

no se resuelve el problema. Es mejor borrar mono: "sudo apt-get remove
mono-jit" e instalar el del Linux installer (1.2.3.1_2), de la web de
mono-project . Así  funciona!
