Linux mint 17 has glib 3.40 (according to
http://community.linuxmint.com/software/view/libglib2.0-0 )

$ pkg-config --modversion glib-2.0

So this is a duplicate of bug #702886 and you need glade >= 3.8.4

You should file a bug to your distribution to upgrade the package
