My HD camera works with Cheese, but not with GTK

Hello!
My HD camera works with Cheese, but not with GUVC Linux driver. - In 
GUVC it gives a shifted-doubled image.
  I want to use it with Skype, that uses the standard Ubuntu driver.  
Could I use somehow the good drivers of Cheese to make it work with Skype?
