Event notifications

I really like this calendar. Great job! Is there any plans to add event notifications to Califronia? It would be great if I could set it to have a notification an hour, day, .... before the event happens.
This it's what keeps me away from using it.
It would be great to if it was possible to send an email as a notification like in google calendar.
