So it seems there actually are people reading this mailinglist... Well,
last weekend I looked which new RFC's there are, and three of them are
interesting to the gnome-calendar: RFC 2445, 2446 and 2447.

RFC 2445 is about "Internet Calendaring and Scheduling Core Object
Specification" (the content of a message (object) containing scheduling
info), 2446 is about "iCalendar Transport-Independent Interoperability
Protocol" (the protocol on how to handle schedules, declines, additions and
stuff to calender entries), and 2447 is about "iCalendar Message-Based
Interoperability Protocol" (how to transport this stuff using the internet
and e-mail).

If the gnome-calendar would incorperate these protocols, it can competete
with the commercial programs from Lotus/Microsoft/Netscape (the authors of
those RFCs).

But maybe the stability of the program is a first goal (?)...

Bye, Erik.
