brasero and cdrkit vs. libburn

I am currently testing Brasero 0.6.0, and I was wondering some things.

What is the preferred back-end by Brasero? Cdrkit or libburn from the
libburnia project? If it's libburn, why is is not enabled by default
in gconf?

Now I activated the three options in gconf to use libburn
(libburn_burn, libburn_iso and libburn_read), and burned a DVD+RW with
some files on it. I chose to erase the actual contents of the disk
first. With ps, I saw brasero was using growisofs and genisoimage. Is
this espected when I enabled libburn?
