Not by bus, but by subway maybe. But anything within a few subway stops 
of MIT would also be very expensive (go north and you hit Harvard, go 
south and you're smack in the middle of downtown Boston). Anyone know of 
something cheap around Alewife maybe?

If you can find something cheap on hotels.com/priceline/travelocity/ 
whatever, but aren't sure how good it is locationwise, just ask people 
on #gnome-hackers while there are Boston people around.
