[Banshee-List] How do I launch banshee with media playing?

I've got to be doing something wrong, but I'll be darned if I can figure
out what.

How do I launch banshee with media playing?

I've read 'man banshee'.
I've tried
'banshee http://audio1.ideastream.org/wcpn64.mp3',
'banshee --play http://audio1.ideastream.org/wcpn64.mp3', and
'banshee --play-enqueued http://audio1.ideastream.org/wcpn64.mp3'.

Only this works:
> From the banshee menu:
'Media' | 'Open Location...'.
> From the Open Location dialog:
Paste 'http://audio1.ideastream.org/wcpn64.mp3' into textbox.
Click [_Open_] button.
