Re: [Banshee-List] Can't play any song

Thanks Bertrand, but the weird thing is that Audacious works perfectly playing the same mp3.

Hi,

The error is probably caused by missing mp3 codecs on your system.
Your best options is probably to look in your distribution's documentation and support channels about how to enable mp3 playback and install the necessary modules.

Cheers,

Good afternoon to all of you.

I have Lubuntu 15.04 installed on an old laptop.
Unfortunately I am a Linux newbie, and I am suffering a puzzling error.
When trying to play any mp3, I receive the following error message:

INVALID COMMANDLINE
The parameters passed to the application had an invalid format. Please file
a bug!

The parameters were:
--transient-for=""> gstreamer|1.0|Banshee|MPEG-1 Layer 3 (MP3) decoder|decoder-audio/mpeg,
mpegversion=(int)1, mpegaudioversion=(int)1, layer=(int)3,
parsed=(boolean)true

Any ideas on soling this issue?
Thank you for your help
