Greetings--
I just purchased a Sansa Clip Zip and am having some difficulties
achieving desirable behavior with playlists.
First off, I noticed that the device ID in the HAL
file/usr/share/hal/fdi/information/20thirdparty is off by one. I'm
assuming that SANSA has released a new version of the device. I have no
idea where to report this. Fixing the number did not seem to change any
of Banshee's behavior though.
I'm using MSC mode, and have constructed a "smart playlist" that
includes the two playlists I'm interested in.
Here is a summary of the problems:
* If I don't have a .is_audio_player file then banshee
* puts all audio files in the same directory
* does write playlists to the clip zip
* BUT -- the playlists are in alphabetical order by artist
* If I create an .is_audio_player file then banshee
* puts audio files in proper directory structure (assuming I've
set folder_depth=2)
* does not write the playlists to the clip zip (I've checked
both the MUSIC and PLAYLISTS folders)
It seems like playlists are a problematic area for Banshee. Not sure why
this is so complicated, but whatever. Does anybody have a solution so I can:
1) Have the audio files in directories by Artist/Album
2) Have playlist files written to the clip zip
3) Have the playlists in the correct order?
Thanks,
