[Banshee-List] Maintenance release?

Hello,

Is there a chance that a new maintenance release of 2.6 branch
(something like 2.6.2) will be released?

Seems like some Linux distros will package only stable releases of
software they don't rely on and I think some fixes are sorely needed -
for example https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=686908 - which,
with powerful enough speakers, is a real "I get a heart attack every
time I forget" sort of bug.

BTW, when will (approximately) Banshee 3.0 be released?
