Thanks for your quick reply! Banshee already has a weighted shuffle mode:
'Shuffle by score'. I would be incredibly happy with  shuffle mode that
shuffles by album based on the average score per album (in SQL something
like a 'GROUP BY Album' clause combined with the avg() function could be
used, I guess).
