[Banshee-List] Sorting albums by year in the library

I've tried the option "Sort an artist's album by year, not title"
(Preferences-Source Specific-<Your Music Folder>) several times over a
few weeks and always forgot to write this email: What is that option
supposed to do?
I've expected it to change the sorting in the library's album list, but
it definitely does nothing there. Am I missing the point or might this
be a bug?

Banshee 2.0.1 on ArchLinux.
