Thanks for the replies about this. I tried the cache, the config directory, and
the gconf directory, moving them didn't do anything, so I tried a custom DB and
disabling dbus. Still no change.
I tried using the daily build. No fix. I tried reinstalling version 1.8.1. No fix.
So, I figured it must be a dependency, and began reinstalling them five at a
time or so, and trying to start banshee in between. Finally, I reinstalled
gnome-icon-theme. And suddenly banshee worked.
Friggin' weird, but there you have it. Sounds like this isn't on banshee's side,
but if there's something I can do to be useful with this, let me know.
Thanks for all the help.
